There are some Disney experiences that change entirely depending on when you experience them.
For our latest installment of Legacy Of Leal | Let’s Ride, we’re taking a nighttime journey through one of EPCOT’s most beloved and unique attractions: Living With The Land.
Most guests experience Living With The Land during the day, where sunlight pours into the greenhouses and showcases the incredible innovations in agriculture, sustainability, and food production. But after sunset, something unexpected happens.
Without the blanket of natural light overhead, the attraction transforms.
The glow of the grow lights becomes more pronounced. The greenhouse environments take on a dreamlike quality. Soft mood lighting creates an atmosphere that feels equal parts educational exhibit and futuristic greenhouse sanctuary. The familiar boat ride suddenly feels entirely new.
During our family’s Spring 2026 visit to EPCOT for the International Flower & Garden Festival, we made sure to experience Living With The Land after dark, and it reminded us why this attraction remains one of EPCOT’s greatest hidden treasures.
It’s quiet. It’s peaceful. It’s hopeful.
In many ways, Living With The Land embodies the very spirit that has always made EPCOT special: the belief that innovation, imagination, and human ingenuity can help build a better tomorrow.
Sometimes, all it takes is experiencing something familiar from a different perspective to discover something entirely new.
And perhaps that’s what legacy is all about.
