Every family has those traditions you look forward to all year long and for us, Christmas Tree Day is at the top of that list. The day after Thanksgiving, our holiday season officially begins, and we make a whole adventure out of picking out the perfect Christmas tree.
This year’s tradition started with caffeine, holiday spirit, and a whole lot of cozy vibes.
☕ Kicking Off the Day at Dutch Bros Coffee
Before any tree scouting happens, we fuel up. Dutch Bros always goes big with their seasonal lineup, so we grabbed a couple of festive drinks and gave them the full Legacy of Leal taste-test treatment.
Between the holiday flavors, the energy, and the excitement to start decorating… it was the perfect way to launch into the day.
🎄 Christmas at Lowe’s
Next stop: Lowe’s, which honestly turns into a full-blown Christmas wonderland this time of year. From inflatable characters to twinkling lights to aisles of ornaments, it’s impossible not to get swept up in the holiday mood while walking around.
We scoped out the decor, got inspired, and then headed outside to the tree lot mission time.
🌲 Finding The Tree
The moment we stepped into the tree section, the smell of pine hit and it was game over. It’s such a simple thing, but picking out a Christmas tree as a family never stops feeling magical.
We walked the rows, compared shapes and heights, made our guesses… and finally found the one. A perfect tree for the Leal household this year.
🏠 Home, Setup, and Lights
Once we got the tree home, the real magic kicked in. Tree stand, positioning, fluffing branches and then, of course, wrapping it in lights.
There’s something special about that moment when the lights first switch on. Suddenly, the whole room feels warmer, cozier, and officially in holiday mode.
